Philippe Huart works on different levels of perception and gives visitors access to his life diaries or go around his fantasies. Several readings are suggested by his paintings: aesthetics,

carrying messages, lyrical or realistic in a daily fiction to account for the consistency and clutter of the visual information bombarding us.

 

His iconography takes care not to reveal what founds the established metaphorical relationships between objects and only makes them more fascinating. The painter favors reflective surfaces where the surrounding spectacle, off-screen, comes as a film on the screen. However, what is represented, contrasts considerably with the harmless and colorful world of advertising:

pills and surgical instruments, barbed wire, revolvers, gas masks ... take precedence today in these paintings. (...)
